-아픈 운명조차 기꺼워하는 예술혼-

단색조 화면은 흑백의 강한 대비로 문인화에서 온 듯한 

유유자적의 여유와 평온함이 짙은데, 묵언의 메시지에는 

날이 서 있다.

디테일로 들어가보면 백색 종이의 바탕이 무수히 긁혀

흐트러진 보풀 가득한 텍스처, 굵고 기하학적인 검은 선의 

마을 드로잉, 그러면서도 대조적으로 보일 듯 말 듯 가느다란 

빗줄기 같은 선들.

드러나지 않게 은밀히 공들인 것들이다.

삶의 터에서 이웃과 소박하게 삶을 영위하는 것이다. 

고고한 자아의 화관을 벗어 던지고, 삶을 더 치열하게 살자는 외침이 절절하다.

노동 & 효과

오브제로 제시되는 현대미술가의 모험은 오랜 시간 공고히 쌓은 탑들을 모방하거나 전복하면서 갤러리라는 울타리 안에서 다양한 실험을 통해 도전과 응전을 하고 있다. 삶의 모든 영역이 미술의 재료와 장소가 되면서 미술의 한계는 끊임없이 변화해 간다. 어쩌면 이러한 미술 영역의 확장 혹은 과잉이라는 순환의 틈새에서 ‘노동-효과’라는 오브제를 통해 엄연히 존재하는 백색공간의 과도기적 장치가 주는 거리감을 나의 삶 언저리에서 발견한 물체를 통해 상호관계 지움으로써 갤러리의 안과 밖을 연결하는 고리를 던져 놓는 것이 아닐까 생각한다.

가족 생계를 위한 건축현장 노동자의 노동과 질퍽한 삶의 애환을 담고 있는 얘기, 인간의 쓰임새로 인해 만들어지고 버려지는 폐자재에 대한 얘기, 물질문명에 의한 풍요로움 속에 정신적 빈곤으로 고달픈 삶에 대한 내용 등은 인간사 모든 일들은 집이라는 울타리 안에서 희로애락의 점철로 만들어진다.

Labor & Effectiveness

The adventures of contemporary artists are presented by objets. They have challenged and fought by imitating or overturning towers that have been built firmly for a long time through diverse experiment within the boundary called art galleries. As all areas of life become materials and places of art, the limits of art are constantly changing. I think perhaps the artist throw the ring connecting the inside and the outside of the gallery by interconnecting the sense of distance given by the transitional instrument of the white space, which clearly exists through the objet called “labor-effectiveness” through the objects that the artist found around his life in the gap of circulation of the expansion or the excess of the art area.

The story containing the labor of a construction worker working for the living of his or her family and the deep joys and sorrows of life; the story about wastes, which are made for the use of people and then thrown away; lives suffering from the spiritual poverty in the abundance owing to the material civilization – Everything in the human history is made by joy, anger, sorrow, and pleasure within the boundary called a house.
